PERFECT!!!

Our little monkey had his 6 month well baby appt today and as we all knew he is a perfect little creature. The nurse practitioner just loved him, he kept grabbing everything and looking around, like he was going to be able to remember it all. He is officially 21 pds and 29 inches...95th percentile but hight and weight are on track with each other...so he isn't fat...though he will always be my chub chub:) There are no worries about anything! He has some respiratory stuff which mean poor little thing inherited Mommy's allergies and now I can give him benidril. He will be moving out of his carrier and into a rear facing upright car seat next month, since he can roll over I don't have to freak out when he rolls himself on his belly to sleep. He had three more shots and did so well, he cried at first, but the moment I picked him up he just smiled at the nurse. I didn't make myself watch the shots go in this time (watching that needle perice his chubby little thigh always makes me cry and get angry at the nurse) I made him look into my eyes and I held him tight.

I can't say how lucky we are to have the little monkey be so healthy. I have been reading a lot lately, everything has gone so well. despite Shawn being in Iraq for the pregnancy, we have had NO complications!!! We have truly been blessed. I know it sounds weird, but I feel a little guilty to be so blessed, like how could I possibly deserve all of this? What did I do? All I can do now is work hard to earn his love and the right to be his mommy. I just hope we can give him the blessings he has given us.
